Inheriting the greatest country in the world, Canada, and a great province, Alberta-what could be more exciting! Our parents and grandparents left us an awesome country and province with a strong economy and solid finances, making Canadians and Albertans the envy of the rest of the world.

We were left a great inheritance and Len is working with Albertans to ensure the same for our next generations.

Len has a wealth of political experience as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, 5 terms as a Councillor with the City of St. Albert, Board Member for the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA) and Board Member for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).  With almost 18 years of political experience plus 30 years of experience as a Teacher/Grade Coordinator with Greater St. Albert Catholic School District, Len has the knowledge and skills needed to carefully consider legislation brought forward in the Senate and the wisdom to consider the consequences for the future and recommend amendments as required.

The Senate is a chamber of sober second thought for legislation passed by the House of Commons. Len believes there are two qualifications to providing sober second thought in the Senate:

  1. You must have the best interests of all Albertans and Canadians in mind when considering legislation.
  2. You must be independent of party politics.

This is the reason Len is running as an independent candidate in the Senate election.  Albertans are practical people, looking for practical solutions.  They want someone to represent them who will support the best ideas brought forward, regardless of party affiliation. As an independent, Len is really a multi party candidate as he has strong support from Albertans who belong to all parties.
